# Frame Studio > Frame Studio turns a screenshot into a cinematic motion video in your browser. Drop in an image or video, pick a motion, export MP4 up to 4K at 60fps. No install, no keyframes, no render queue. Frame Studio is a browser-based 3D motion design tool. You drop in an image or a video, choose one of 93 pre-built 3D motions, adjust framing, lighting and effects, and export a finished video at up to 4K (2160p) and 60fps. Rendering and encoding happen locally in the browser via WebGPU and the WebCodecs API, so uploaded media is never sent to a server for processing. It is aimed at people who need one good product video quickly: indie founders, SaaS teams, designers, marketers, content creators and developers, rather than at professional motion designers who already own After Effects or Blender. ## Key facts - Product: Frame Studio, a web application. No installation required. - Marketing site: https://useframestudio.com - Application: https://app.useframestudio.com - Pricing: Free tier ($0, 44 motions, up to 1080p, watermarked exports); Pro ($9/month); Pro Lifetime ($79 one-time, a founding price limited to the first 100 purchases, $129 after that). Pro unlocks all 93 motions, 2K and 4K export, and removes the watermark. - Motion presets: 93 total (44 free, 49 Pro), in three kinds: - Single-plane: 40 camera moves over one image, in four families — Motion (17), Dynamic (9), Slide (8), Static (6). - Multi-plane: 40 compositions that arrange several images at once, across 13 layouts. Every panel is exactly the chosen surface aspect ratio, and dividers can be dragged to re-proportion the composition. - Loops: 13 compositions that move continuously and seamlessly, in 7 families — Carousel (3, cards on a turning cylinder); Flip (3, a rolodex — back, edge, face); Wheel (2, a ring turning in the picture plane); Grid (2, a wall of tiles scrolling and wrapping); Spiral (1, a helix drifting along its axis); Stack (1, a deck whose top card cycles to the back); Scatter (1, a loose pile, each card on its own drift). A loop takes an ordered gallery which is dealt round its cards and repeats to fill them; speed is set independently of the clip's length. - Export video: MP4 (H.264 video, AAC audio) and WebM (VP9). - Export stills: PNG and JPG. - Resolutions: 720p (HD), 1080p (Full HD), 1440p (2K), 2160p (4K). - Frame rates: 24, 30, 60 fps. - Aspect ratios: 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16. - Platform presets: YouTube, YouTube Short, Instagram Post, Instagram Story, Instagram Reel, TikTok, Facebook Post, Facebook Story, Facebook Reel, LinkedIn Post, X Post, Pinterest Pin. - HDR lighting environments: Studio, Sunset, Night, Rooftop, Sky, Snow. - Accepted image input: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, BMP, AVIF. - Accepted video input: MP4, WebM, MOV, M4V, OGV. - Technology: React, Three.js (WebGPU), GSAP, WebCodecs, Zustand. - Browsers: Chrome and Edge recommended (MP4 export needs WebCodecs); Firefox and Safari supported, falling back to WebM. - Built and operated by: Peter Csipkay (https://www.petercsipkay.com/), an independent developer. - Contact: hello@petercsipkay.com ## Capabilities - 93 cinematic motions: 93 pre-built 3D motion presets across single-plane, multi-plane and looping types - Several images, one shot: 40 multi-plane composition presets across 13 layouts, each panel matching the chosen surface aspect ratio - Loops that never cut: 13 seamless looping motion presets in 7 families, with an image gallery dealt across the cards - Images and video, both: Accepts image and video media as animated 3D textures - A real timeline: Multi-clip timeline with trim, reorder, duplicate, undo and redo - HDR studio lighting: Six HDR image-based lighting environments with real-time reflections - Cinematic optics: Depth of field, ACES tone mapping, vignette and backdrop shadow post-processing - Animated captions: Animated per-clip and global captions with directional slide-in presets - Music that lands: Audio track import with segment trimming, muxed as AAC into the export - Frame it for anywhere: 12 social platform presets and 5 aspect ratios - Export on your machine: Local WebCodecs export to H.264 MP4 or WebM up to 4K (2160p) at 60fps, with optional motion blur and transparent PNG stills ## Pages - [Home](https://useframestudio.com/): product overview, features, how it works, pricing, FAQ. - [Features](https://useframestudio.com/#features): the full capability list. - [How it works](https://useframestudio.com/#how-it-works): the four-step workflow. - [Motion library](https://useframestudio.com/#scenes): single-plane, multi-plane and looping motions. - [Comparison](https://useframestudio.com/#comparison): how it compares to Screen Studio, Rotato and Blender. - [Specifications](https://useframestudio.com/#specs): exact formats, resolutions and browser support. - [Pricing](https://useframestudio.com/#pricing): Free, Pro and Lifetime plans. - [FAQ](https://useframestudio.com/#faq): common questions with direct answers. - [Blog](https://useframestudio.com/blog): articles on product video and motion design. ## Blog posts - [7 product video mistakes that cost you views](https://useframestudio.com/blog/product-video-mistakes): 90% of ad recall impact lands in the first six seconds (Vidico, 2026).
