Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 August 2026

This policy explains what Frame Studio collects, why, and what we do with it. It applies to the marketing site at useframestudio.com and the application at https://app.useframestudio.com.

Frame Studio is built and operated by Peter Csipkay, an independent developer, who is the data controller for the purposes of this policy and the person you reach at the address below.

The short version

The images and videos you edit in Frame Studio are processed entirely inside your own browser. They are not uploaded to our servers, we cannot see them, and there is nothing for us to retain or delete. The only personal data we hold is what an account needs: your email address and your subscription status.

Media you upload into the editor

Frame Studio renders with WebGPU and encodes with the WebCodecs API on your own device. When you drop a file onto the canvas, the browser reads it locally and holds it in memory for the duration of your session. It is never transmitted to us. Closing the tab discards it.

Your timeline structure, meaning which motions you chose and how long each clip is, is saved to your browser's local storage so your work survives a page reload. It stays on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Account data

You can use Frame Studio without an account. If you create one, we store your email address and authentication record through our authentication provider, Supabase, so that you can log back in and so that Pro entitlements follow your account.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive, handle, or store your card details. Stripe tells us only whether a subscription or one-time purchase is active, which is what switches Pro features on for your account. Stripe's own handling of your data is governed by their privacy policy.

Analytics and cookies

We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to anyone. The marketing site uses no third-party advertising cookies. The application sets only the cookies and local storage entries required to keep you logged in and to remember your editing session.

For visitor numbers the marketing site runs Plausible on our own server. It is cookieless, stores no personal data, does not follow you across sites, and needs no consent banner. It records the page visited, the referrer, and coarse country, browser and device type — nothing that identifies you.

Third parties we rely on

  • Supabase: authentication and account records.
  • Stripe: payment processing and subscription status.
  • Google Fonts: serves the typefaces used across the site.
  • Plausible (self-hosted): cookieless visitor statistics for the marketing site.

Each of these receives only what it needs to do its job, and none of them receives the media you edit.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the account data we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account entirely. Email hello@petercsipkay.com and we will action it. Deleting your account removes your email and entitlement record; because we never held your media, there is nothing further to remove.

Children

Frame Studio is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for account holders, send an email. Continuing to use Frame Studio after a change means you accept the updated policy.
